Two Months Out

a thousand threads / vintage post / calligraphy by neither snow

Two months. I’m not even sure what to say about two months. I can barely believe it, but this time we have left will be gone in the blink of an eye!

The past week has been full of little accomplishments and final touches: We picked out our rings and mailed our final invites, and now I think I can officially say that we we’re down to the details!

Here’s what our checklist is looking like, two months out…

{All Done}

Venue, Photographer, Videographer, Food Truck, Cake(s), Band, Day-of Coordinator, Hair and Makeup, Officiant, Calligraphy — all done!
Trials, tastings, and all of that fun stuff.
Engagement shots.
Save the dates.
Our final invitations are on their way (above and here).
Flowers have been ordered.
Table signage and place cards are ready to go.
Rentals are booked.
The guest book is ready to go.
My maid of honor is all set with a gorg grey strapless dress.
We bought our rings!
I have shoes and most of my accessories.
Mark has shoes and most of his accessories.
Our flight to California is booked.

{In the Works}

Linens. We just need to finalize our rental order.
Collecting vintage cake plates and finalizing other signage (cake flavors, dessert table, etc).
The registry still feels like it’s in need of constant updates, but we’ve got a pretty good collection going.
The barbeque (welcome dinner) and brunch (send-off) are mostly planned, just finalizing the details.
Mark’s suit and my dress alterations are underway.
Welcome bags are almost ready to go.
The boys’ outfits are moving along.
The honeymoon is mostly booked, just a few more things to lock down and we’re off to Peru!

{Left to Do}

Writing our vows and putting the final touches on the ceremony.
I need to order my veil, but I think I know which one it will be.
We need our marriage license, but we won’t be able to do that until the week of.
As soon as RSVPs start rolling in, we’ll finalize our seating chart.
Printing menus and creating table lists (we have place cards, so we’ll need to have a separate way to display our table lists).
The under-the-dress details.
Gifts for our parents, attendants, and a few of our vendors.
Gifts for each other.
Nice notes to everyone!
And, of course, the many thank you’s we have to give.

Exercise is happening… but there’s still that little question of the diet

Must remember to work on the diet.
