Tradition

DIY thanksgiving placemat
This year we’re planning on a super untraditional Thanksgiving. In fact, we won’t even be in the country — we’ll still be on our honeymoon in Peru. But really, we’re crazy excited about it. Even though our Thanksgiving meal won’t include turkey or cranberry relish (my fave) we will be thankful for each other and for the fact that we are able to afford to travel, to eat, to put a roof over our heads… there are so many things to be thankful for in life, and that’s what the day is really about.

That said, I love me a good tradition… tell me all about yours. Do you do the same thing every year or do you like to switch it up?

It’s funny, growing up we spent a few Thanksgivings out of the country and we’d always insist my mom make a traditional meal when we got back. These days, traveling sounds like such fun! I’m sure Peru is breathtaking, and you guys must be having such an amazing time!
