This, folks, is what I love most about living in a smaller town. Not the farmer’s market itself — those you can find in the city — but the hometown feel of a tiny farmer’s market that takes place just down the road. The kind of market where you linger… swap a recipe or two, learn about a new local farm… the kind that might even feature a small family bluegrass band.
I’m telling you… my little town keeps me sane.
(And as a result of my lingering, I learned about a whole new vegetable! Have you ever cooked with scapes? We did for the first time this weekend and they’re delicious! I can’t wait to share the recipe tomorrow.)
