As someone who finds herself styling a picture or two now and then, I’m always looking at, and learning about, the light… the way it comes clamoring into our bedroom in the morning, and dances across our little home studio (otherwise known as that one corner with all the windows) at night. The way that it can be manipulated, and way that it can’t. And especially how it always seems to manage to make or break my day… leaving me to curl up in a blanket for an extended nap and a big cup of something warm, or pulling me out of my bed ready to conquer the world.

This little home uses the light as a design element, with sky lights and beams that cast patterns on the walls and floors, bringing the light, and the day, into the house just that much more. And making those sunny days just that much better…

Wow, I wouldn’t even bother buying furniture if I lived in this house – just beautiful!

wow wow wow!! What an amazing home! I’m totally with you, light is one of my favorite things!! I take notice of it so much more now that I started taking pictures. My apartment has terrible light – the street windows have a big tree outside which is beautiful but blocks a lot of the natural light. So I always have to take photos at my bf’s. My dream home has lots and lots of windows with lots of natural light 🙂 I love the way it changes your mood, gosh, it really is inspiring and so so amazing!!

OMG!! WOW! As I was scrolling down, each photo was so breathtaking, I had to take a moment and just take in the beauty! I LOVE everything about this home – from it’s neutral simplicity to of course, the natural light design! Love these, Laicie!

wow this is incredible! I have also been obsessing over the light in my home and how it can make or break a good picture. I am really trying to be more thoughtful with how I use light in pictures, and I am sloooowly learning. My home gets some pretty serious light (if you follow me on instagram you may have seen) – I have 10 ft floor to ceiling windows on the 27th floor of a condo high rise downtown Chicago. The light we get is incredible and constantly changing with the weather. Sometimes the light in my home is so magical and makes for a great day of staring out the window and loving my life.

Have a great weekend Lacie! xx Alecia
